The Rufescent Tiger Heron (Tigrisoma lineatum), also known as the Soco-Boi, is a species of heron in the Ardeidae family.

Distribution and habitat

It is found in Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Its natural habitat is swamps.
